I am a mother of eight wonderful children and two new granddaughters, who I am very proud of. I am also a bi-vocational ordained evangelical minister, and a Christian Counselor. I received my B.S. degree in 2004, studying primarily in the areas of Psychology, with minors in Religion and English. I received my Masters Degree in 2009 in Psychological Counseling with an emphasis in Christian Counseling. My ministry is geared toward victims of sexual and domestic violence, including victims of childhood sexual abuse, whether currently or in the past. Since I have personally experienced the healing hand of God in overcoming many of the life issues that Christians may face, I feel qualified and compelled to discuss them in a truthful and open manner, as God?s word tells us that ?We shall know the truth and the truth shall set us free.? God has brought me through such diverse tribulations as sexual, physical, and mental abuse, being a victim of a drunk driving accident, spousal pornography addiction, adultery, divorce, remarriage, a very brief, though unjust, incarceration, and having experienced multiple miscarriages and various other trials. I have been asked to leave two Southern Baptist Churches, due to my being a female, ordained as a minister, and fired from a SBC sponsored Christian School (mostly white) for speaking out against racial prejudice in the Family of God. Through God?s merciful forgiveness of my own sins and inadequacies and God?s grace given to me to forgive those who have been a stumbling block to me, I have overcome many of these adversities. God?s word tells us that ?All things work together for good to those who love the Lord and are called according to the purposes of God." Since I have this hope, I believe that God has blessed me with the ability to confront and relate these issues to the Christian community, and that I have been called to the homeland mission field of North America. I hope to be able to use my personal experiences as a ministry of God?s grace and in the comforting of the people of God with the truth of God's mercy. I claim II Corinthians 1: 3 & 4 as my calling, which states: ?Blessed be God, the Origin of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Origin of mercies, and the God of comfort; who comforts us in all our troubles, that we may be able to comfort those who are in trouble, by the comfort we ourselves have been given by God.? As I have received the gift of God?s healing, I hope to be able to bring the peace beyond understanding to others with the message of God?s mercy and grace. My love for the Sovereign Lord of my life, Jesus Christ, along with my passion for writing has drawn me to explore these commonly experienced crisis issues from the perspective of my own experience in the hope that I may bring an empathetic and compassionate insight to God?s people. The views expressed in my writings are strictly my own insights, acquired from personal experience and diligent study of the related topics and God?s word concerning them. Though I am an ordained minister, my views should not be considered authoritative. I believe that the Christian community?s ultimate authority is the guidance of the human heart by the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS - - that Saint Luke Evangelical Christian Ministries accepts Kimberly Marie Hartfield having demonstrated by actions and by statement of faith a love for Our Lord Jesus Christ and His Word, into the world-wide ministry of Saint Luke Evangelical Christian Ministries. Northern Ireland pinning hopes on Titanic resurgence

A century after the Titanic sank on its maiden voyage, Belfast is counting on a new visitor attraction about the iconic ship to put the city that built it back on the tourist map.

The Northern Irish capital hopes the Titanic Belfast complex will entice holidaymakers to spend time -- and, crucially, money -- in the British province.

Three decades of sectarian violence lasting until the late 1990s made Northern Ireland a no-go area for foreign visitors. The city is hoping the attraction will give a much-needed boost to its tourism economy.

With its wider economy still lagging behind the rest of the United Kingdom following the misery of the Troubles, Northern Ireland is once again looking to Titanic to drive its prosperity forward -- just as it did 100 years ago.

"For many years we have been promoting Belfast and Northern Ireland as a tourist destination all over the world but it's been very difficult, because we have a very negative past," Titanic Belfast's marketing chief Claire Bradshaw told AFP.

"Titanic is the big story that will help visitors make the decision to come to Belfast.

"Absolutely it will put money into our economy."

Northern Ireland's economy, heavily reliant on the public sector, has been hit not only by the United Kingdom's recession and austerity measures but also the financial collapse in the Republic of Ireland.

During 2011, Northern Ireland welcomed an estimated 973,000 overseas visitors, 84 percent of them from the British mainland. Their estimated expenditure was ?263 million ($417 million, 314 million euros).

Therefore much is riding on Titanic Belfast, which opened with fanfare on March 31, 100 years to the day since the liner was finished in a nearby dock.

"It's a boost for Belfast at a time when the economic climate is challenging," Titanic Belfast chief executive Tim Husbands said.

"It's very much a platform for tourism growth throughout the province."

The province is targeting the booming Asian market and hopes the enduring appeal of the Titanic "brand" will lure foreigners from the London tourist traps.

Officials hope the ?97 million Titanic Belfast, shaped to look like four cruise liner-sized bows, will attract 425,000 visitors in its first year.

Rising out of the derelict Harland and Wolff shipyards, it tells the story of the vessel from its inception in Belfast's industrial boom years through to its launch, its sinking and the aftermath.

Belfast's 21st-century embrace of the Titanic is in marked contrast to most of the last 100 years.

When it was built, it was a symbol of the city's prowess. But after it sank on April 15, 1912, Belfast went silent about the liner.

"It was the largest vessel in the world from the biggest shipyard in the world. It was the pride of Belfast, with the workmanship that had gone into it," said Stephen Cameron, co-founder of the Belfast Titanic Society.

When reports of the disaster came through, "grown men were seen standing crying in the street. These guys had worked on the ship for years and couldn't comprehend the news," the author of "Titanic: Belfast's Own" told AFP.

But in those days, people were not encouraged to dwell on the disaster.

"Those were the values of the time. 'We move on and we don't talk about that any more'," Cameron said.

"There was very little interest in it worldwide before the wreck was discovered in 1985."

The revival of interest is leaving its mark, with bars, railway stations and even the shipyard area being renamed after the doomed vessel.

And among Belfast's famous murals, usually dedicated to paramilitaries or victims of the Troubles, the Titanic has found a place.

However, reminders of the conflict are never far away in Protestant east Belfast.

One mural dedicated to the Titanic's victims and its survivors is just across the road from a similarly monochrome Loyalist paramilitary mural. A few streets away, a Catholic area is screened off behind a giant fence.

And only last June, sectarian riots took place directly in front of another, dedicated to the "Ship of Dreams" and boasting: "Built in Belfast".

Nevertheless, Northern Irish tourism minister Arlene Foster said the focus for 2012 was on changing perceptions of the province.

"It is wonderful to see Northern Ireland making global headlines for all the right reasons," she said.

p38{Gamma} promotes breast cancer cell motility and metastasis ...

Rosenthal DT, Iyer H, Escudero S, Bao L, Wu Z, Ventura AC, Kleer CG, Arruda EM, Garikipati K, Merajver SD.

Cancer Res. 2011 Oct 15;71(20):6338-49.

Department of Internal Medicine, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA.

Abstract

Understanding the molecular alterations that confer cancer cells with motile, metastatic properties is needed to improve patient survival. Here, we report that p38{Gamma} motogen-activated protein kinase regulates breast cancer cell motility and metastasis, in part, by controlling expression of the metastasis-associated small GTPase RhoC. This p38{Gamma}-RhoC regulatory connection was mediated by a novel mechanism of modulating RhoC ubiquitination. This relationship persisted across multiple cell lines and in clinical breast cancer specimens. Using a computational mechanical model based on the finite element method, we showed that p38{Gamma}-mediated cytoskeletal changes are sufficient to control cell motility. This model predicted novel dynamics of leading edge actin protrusions, which were experimentally verified and established to be closely related to cell shape and cytoskeletal morphology. Clinical relevance was supported by evidence that elevated expression of p38{Gamma} is associated with lower overall survival of patients with breast cancer. Taken together, our results offer a detailed characterization of how p38{Gamma} contributes to breast cancer progression. Herein we present a new mechanics-based analysis of cell motility, and report on the discovery of a leading edge behavior in motile cells to accommodate modified cytoskeletal architecture. In summary, these findings not only identify a novel mechanism for regulating RhoC expression but also advance p38{Gamma} as a candidate therapeutic target.

One Direction Reveal Details Of Justin Bieber Collabo

British boy banders clear the air with MTV News about their studio visit with the teen superstar.
By Jocelyn Vena

There's been some chatter about a possible One Direction collaboration with the one-man boy band known as Justin Bieber for some time now.

It all started in March when Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, teased that he and the Biebs were thinking about working with the chart-topping boy band. "[A collaboration is] very possible. He likes them and thinks they are good dudes. All people of that generation should be there to help each other." The chatter had died down for a bit, until this week when the guys of 1D tweeted that they had visited Bieber in the studio.

That led fans to speculate that the six guys had recorded something together, though it wasn't clear what. Tweets like "expect the unexpected" fueled the fire. But when MTV News caught up with the guys in New York City, they were quick to clarify that all they were there to do was listen to some of their pal's new music.

"We actually went down to the studio to listen to some of Justin Bieber's tracks," Liam Payne explained. "He invited us down and we had a good listen, but there's no real collaboration or anything."

With chatter about any big group-sing in the works between the six heartthrobs now over and done, Payne gave us a little critique of Believe, which drops later this year. "We were just having a listen to some of his music and hanging out," he said, adding, "[It's a] really good, really good album."

That seems to jibe with some of the tweets the guys sent out on Wednesday, prompting the initial collaboration conjecture. One Direction's Niall Horan wrote, "In the studio with our boy @justinbieber last night, it's gona sound great!" Payne later added, "Got a first listen to Justin Bieber's new album yesterday wowww big songs!!! It's gunna be a smash ... Expect the unexpected :O."

Coyotes beat Wild 4-1 to win 1st division crown

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) ? Taylor Pyatt scored two goals and Mike Smith made 23 saves to help the Phoenix Coyotes clinch the first division championship in franchise history with a 4-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild on Saturday night.

Mikkel Boedker and Radim Vrbata also scored and Michal Rozsival added two assists for the Coyotes (42-27-13), who won the final five games of the regular season to leapfrog Los Angeles and San Jose for the Pacific Division title. The Coyotes had never won a division dating back to their inception as the Winnipeg Jets in 1979-80.

Dany Heatley scored for the Wild, who will miss the playoffs for the fourth straight season. Niklas Backstrom had a rough night with 24 saves on 28 shots.

The Coyotes will play sixth-seeded Chicago in the first round.

The Coyotes woke up Friday morning one point behind Los Angeles and San Jose in the division. They beat the St. Louis Blues 4-1 on Friday night then took care of the Wild on Saturday night to close out an historic season for the franchise.

The Coyotes won three of the four meetings against the Blackhawks this season, with one coming in a shootout.

Smith has been stellar for most of the season for the Coyotes, but he went through a rough patch in the middle of March when he allowed 22 goals over a seven-start stretch. He has since steadied himself in a major way, recording three straight shutouts before allowing just one goal in each of the last two games of the season as he heads to the playoffs.

He wasn't tested often by the anemic Wild offense on Saturday, but made two brilliant stops ? on Jason Zucker and Devin Setoguchi ? on a power play toward the end of the second period to keep the Coyotes in control.

The Coyotes got out quickly, jumping on the board 5:34 into the game when Wild defenseman Kris Fredheim made a lazy back-handed clearing attempt behind the net that landed right on Boedker's stick inside the right circle. Boedker pounced and easily beat Backstrom over the left shoulder for a 1-0 lead.

Phoenix made it 2-0 at 13:57 when Pyatt corralled a loose puck in the slot with his backhand, made a nifty move to get the puck on his forehand and fired a wrist shot past Backstrom.

The Wild got off to a lethargic start, with just five shots on goal in the first 33 minutes. But they picked up the pace later in the second period, getting on the board when Heatley banked the puck off Smith's leg and into the net to make it 2-1.

But before the Wild fans had settled back into their seats, Pyatt was back at it, scoring on a rebound over a sprawling Backstrom 31 seconds later.

Vrbata scored his 35th goal of the season on a slap shot through Backstrom's wickets from a shallow angle just over a minute into the final period to put the game on ice.

NOTES: Fredheim and D Chay Genoway were called up from AHL Houston for the finale to help a depleted defense that was missing Nate Prosser, who was suspended for the game after he head-butted Blackhawks forward Jamal Mayers on Thursday. ... It's the first time Boedker has scored goals in back-to-back games since March 24 and 26 last season. ... Pyatt scored his first goals since Feb. 9, snapping a 17-game goal-less streak.

Moving and Relocating - Reasons Why Becoming A Real Estate ...

Saturday, April 7th, 2012 at 4:05 pm ?

While?becoming a real estate agent can be challenging, getting started is not as arduous as you may Becoming a Real Estate Agentthink when compared to other high earning potential professions. When you obtain real estate agent qualifications, you can take advantage of many creative options to enhance your income that are not available to other professionals. And your potential for advancement can reach high levels in real estate.

In order to develop into a real estate professional, plan on plenty of time to learn the ins and outs of the realty business including property buying and selling techniques, financing strategies, and to some extent the legal side of real estate. A basic requirement is to pass a minimum of one examination, in accordance with the kind of realty you are pursuing. Acquiring a comprehensive understanding of the realty market and how it functions will bring you many opportunities, as people will want to seek you out for your services that can enable them to sell properties that they need to move. Of course you can also represent property buyers, who are in the market for specific properties to meet their needs.

In addition to becoming a real estate agent for property buyers and sellers, an especially skilled real estate agent can even take on professional investors who are looking to diversify their portfolios with properties. The services you can provide to these investors, finding great properties that meet their return on investment guidelines, when properly cultivated can help you enjoy regular and substantial, multi-year income streams. All without risking your own capital.

Your beginning training and passing the real estate examination are the keys to getting started in helping home buyers and sellers. Active real estate agents who start and stay in home buying and selling can be quite comfortable. Sometimes agents represent both the buyer and seller, who, as your training will reveal, must follow real estate disclosure laws that exist to bind agents in ways that maintain fairness in those transactions. For agents who desire even more experience, real estate offers even more opportunities. For example, wealthy investors often use the services of real estate agents in order to expand and diversify their businesses, or agents may wish to take control of larger portions of their local market by being the best at finding property buyers that match precisely the needs and urgencies of property sellers.

A particularly advantageous aspect of?becoming a real estate agent is being able to progress to the next professional tier, a real estate broker. In order to act as a real estate broker in most states, you will need to take additional courses in real estate and possibly sit for another examination. For example, to apply for a real estate license California has separate applications for a real estate salesperson (agent) and a real estate broker. Of course you can continue to enjoy your income as an agent while you learn. Some states do not require separate licenses for agents and brokers, instead requiring a single real estate license accreditation. As a result in such states, you may have the opportunity to become a broker depending on the realty company you associate with, or by starting your own business.

To be most effective as a real estate agent these days, knowing how to operate computers, especially mobile computers like laptops, tablets and smart phones is as fundamental to your success as having expertise in real estate. Not only are properties found and marketed online, more and more properties are bought and sold online, as access to the Internet is becoming as easy as making a phone call. Be sure to excel in knowing how to buy and sell property online and you will be a step above many other real estate professionals while you are becoming a real estate agent.

Source: NBC producer fired over Zimmerman 911 call

(AP) ? NBC News has fired a producer for editing a recording of George Zimmerman's call to police the night he shot Trayvon Martin, a person with direct knowledge of the matter said Saturday.

The person was not authorized to talk about the situation publicly and spoke on the condition of anonymity. The identity of the producer was not disclosed.

An NBC spokeswoman declined to comment.

The producer's dismissal followed an internal investigation that led to NBC apologizing for having aired the misleading audio.

NBC's "Today" show first aired the edited version of Zimmerman's call on March 27. The recording viewers heard was trimmed to suggest that Zimmerman volunteered to police, with no prompting, that Martin was black: "This guy looks like he's up to no good. He looks black."

But the portion of the tape that was deleted had the 911 dispatcher asking Zimmerman if the person who had raised his suspicion was "black, white or Hispanic," to which Zimmerman responded, "He looks black."

Later that night of Feb. 26, the 17-year-old Martin was fatally shot by Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer in Sanford, Fla. Though Martin was unarmed, Zimmerman told police he fired in self-defense after Martin attacked him.

Questions subsequently have arisen over whether Zimmerman was racially profiling the teen, a theory the edited version of the tape seemed to support.

On Tuesday, NBC said its investigation turned up "an error made in the production process that we deeply regret." It promised that "necessary steps" would be taken "to prevent this from happening in the future" and apologized to viewers.

(AP) ? Under intense pressure from the nations bordering Mali, the junior officer who seized control of the country in a coup last month signed an accord, agreeing late Friday to return the country to constitutional rule.

The announcement was made only hours after separatist rebels in the country's distant north declared their independence, a move that further complicates a crisis that began on March 21 when a group of disgruntled soldiers began shooting in the air at a military base, located just miles from the presidential palace.

On Friday, Capt. Amadou Haya Sanogo emerged from his office inside that same military base which has acted as the de facto seat of government for the past 16 days, ever since he and his men decided to march from the barracks to the presidential palace, reversing two decades of democratic rule in the space of a single day.

Flanked by the ministers of neighboring nations, he read out the accord, stating that under Article 36 of Mali's constitution, the head of the national assembly becomes interim president in the event of a vacancy of power. The head of the parliament will form an interim government which will organize new elections.

"In the event of the vacancy of the presidency of the republic for whatever reason, or due to any absolute and definitive impediment," Sanogo said, "the functions of the president of the republic will be exercised by the president of the National Assembly."

However, the accord did not say what role the military junta or its young leader will play in the future. It also did not state when the head of the assembly will assume the post, or how long the transition will last before new elections are held. Dioncounda Traore, the head of the assembly, fled Mali on the day of the coup.

Article 36 of the constitution says that elections should be held in no more than 40 days. The accord stated that that timeframe will likely need to be extended, due to rebellion which has turned the northern half of the country into a war zone.

"Because of the exceptional circumstances that the country is going through, because of the institutional crisis and the armed rebellion in the north which have badly affected the functioning of the institutions of the republic and because of the impossibility of organizing elections in 40 days as set out under the constitution," Sanogo said, reading from the accord. "It is indispensable to organize a political transition with the aim of organizing free, democratic and transparent elections in all parts of the country."

The declaration was welcomed by Burkina Faso Foreign Minister Djibrill Bassole, who flanked Sanogo while he read the accord. Bassole said afterwards that the nations bordering Mali had agreed to lift the crippling sanctions which went into effect earlier this week, including the closure of the country's borders. Landlocked Mali imports all its fuel, and already many neighborhoods in Bamako had only electricity for half the day.

A senior official who was involved in the negotiations said that the head of the assembly would likely fly back as early as Saturday. He said that the accord means that Sanogo ? who just days ago had stubbornly refused to step aside, flouting a 72-hour deadline imposed by neighboring nations which resulted in the sanctions being imposed ? has finally chosen to put the country back on a democratic path. However, a Western diplomat in Bamako said he hoped for the best, but worried that Sanogo could still make a U-turn. Neither the official nor the diplomat could be named because they had not been authorized to speak to the media.

"We have to take a wait-and-see approach," the diplomat said. "I certainly hope it's true and that the country goes back to civilian rule so that Mali can get back on its feet."

The news comes just hours after Mali's Tuareg rebels, who seized control of the country's distant north in the chaotic aftermath of the coup in the capital, declared independence Friday of their Azawad nation.

"We, the people of the Azawad," they said in a statement published on the rebel website, "proclaim the irrevocable independence of the state of the Azawad starting from this day, Friday, April 6, 2012."

France, the European Union and the United States all issued statements saying they would not recognize the new Tuareg state. And in neighboring Ivory Coast, the military chiefs of 13 of Mali's neighbors met to hash out plans for a military intervention to push back the rebels in the north.

The confusion in the capital created an opening for the separatists.

The traditionally nomadic Tuareg people have been fighting for their own homeland since at least 1958, when Tuareg elders wrote a letter addressed to the French president asking their colonial rulers to carve out a separate nation called "Azawad" in their language. Instead, the north, where the lighter-skinned Tuareg people live, was made part of the same country as the south, where the dark-skinned ethnic groups controlled the capital and the nation's finances.

The rebel group that declared independence is secular. However, they were helped by an Islamist faction, Ansar Dine, which is now attempting to apply Shariah law to Mali's moderate north, including in the fabled tourist destination of Timbuktu. Women there have been told to wear veils and not be seen in public with males who are not relatives.

France has offered to provide logistical support to the Economic Community of West Africa States, or ECOWAS, the 15-nation bloc representing nations in the region, should they decide to launch a military operation to reclaim the north.

When they first seized power, Sanogo and his men originally said they were ousting the democratically elected leader because of his poor handling of the rebellion in the north, which began in January. The conflict cost the lives of scores of Malian soldiers, and in the accord signed in front of reporters on Friday, there is also a section calling for reparations to be paid to the families of the dead soldiers.

In addition, the accord gives full immunity to the soldiers that took part in the coup, and calls for Mali's neighbors to begin sending humanitarian aid.

Left unanswered is the fate of ex-President Amadou Toumani Toure, and his closest associates. A dozen of his ministers and aides were detained by the soldiers after the coup. Toure went into hiding and his whereabouts are unknown.

Bassole, the Burkinabe foreign affairs minister, told reporters after Sanogo read the accord that ECOWAS had made a heartfelt appeal for the detainees to be released and for Toure, known by his initials of ATT, to be allowed to return to a normal life.

"We also expressed our desire that President ATT be allowed to return to the home of his choice, and that his security be assured by the defence and security forces," he said.

The accord, signed by Sanogo, Bassole, as well as ministers from Nigeria and Ivory Coast, does not specify if the junta has agreed to the request.

Minnesota Real Estate Trust Account For Property Management ...

Minnesota real estate brokers?are required to have a real?estate?trust account set up for their company in order to deposit money into a safe environment for real estate transactions. When it comes to Minneapolis property management companies and St. Paul management companies would open a trust account to deposit money received for security deposits and refundable pet deposits from renters.

Trust accounts must be opened with a federally insured bank and the bank must know prior to issuance that this is a real?estate?trust account.? All checks, registers, deposit slips and other paper products relating to this account must specifically state that this is a trust account.? By law, the account must be an interest bearing account and the brokerage firm?must accurately comply with interest disbursements to clients.? A trust account is basically a third party account that secures the money during new rental transactions.? The?brokerage firm?does not have any ownership rights to the money in the account and money deposited in the account cannot be used for anything else but that specific transaction.

If you are a Minnesota landlord who does not feel they will be able to set aside your tenant?s security deposit in an account without spending it, you may want to hire a Minnesota rental agency to manage your property as they will have a trust account set up and will ensure your tenant?s full security is held and not spent.
